Group Visits
The equipment
centre offers group visits to the centre. This will include an informative
tour of the centre and the equipment on display.
Students requiring certification for their portfolio will be given a signed
certificate to verify their attendance. Students will be asked to pay a small
fee towards administration etc. In order to comply with Disabled Living's
Health & Safety rules and regulations we ask that all Tutors please take
note of the 'Student Visit Tutor Guidelines'.
Student Visitor Tutor Guidelines
| 1. Tutors are asked to
accompany their group at all times whilst on the premises. |

| 2. If the Fire Bell sounds,
at the instructions of a member of DLC staff, please evacuate the building. |
| |
| 3. During the visit, students
will be given a guided tour of the centre. |
| |
| 4. Staff will explain
and demonstrate the equipment. NB the equipment is not the property of
Disabled Living and is only loaned to the centre by companies-we ask that
all students take care and respect safety guidelines. |

| 5. Please keep the reception
area tidy - if students have had drinks please ensure all empty cups and
cans are placed in the bin |

| 6. POLITE NOTICE -
would all group visitors switch off their mobile phones. |

| 7. At the end of the visit
it would be appreciated if students and tutors take just a few moments
to fill out the Feedback Sheets. Please hand completed sheets to a DLC
staff member. |
How to Book a Group Visit
To book a group
visit, telephone the centre (08707 601580) and ask to speak to a member of
the Equipment Centre staff.
The cost
per student is £4.00.
One member
of Disabled Living staff can accommodate up to 10 students per group (at least
one member of teaching staff must accompany their student group at all times
whilst in the centre).
When giving
your details to Disabled Living please give an Invoicing address.
