Our 110th Birthday
In June this year Disabled Living are proud to celebrate our 110th Birthday and we are looking forward to our 12th decade, spanning 3 Centuries, of providing help and guidance to the Community.
Prestige Events
Marie Hendry, Chief Executive of Disabled Living, is happy to receive a cheque for £3588.22 on Friday 21st December from Nick and Charlie of 'Prestige Events' from an event they held earlier in 2007 that raised thousands of pounds for our charity.
Marie said at the time, "I'm delighted to have received on behalf of our charity such a wonderful gift from Charlie and Nick so close to Christmas!"

The report was launched at Local Government House, London, to a wide ranging audience drawn from the voluntary and statutory sector. The Minister, in his keynote speech welcomed the publication and concluded by inviting those present to send him their top 3 priorities for the improvement in care services.”

109th Annual General Meeting
Stephen White, Chairman of Disabled Living welcomed our new President, Gerry Yeung OBE. Mr Yeung who hosted the event said he was proud to be associated with Manchester’s oldest disability charity, and whilst he was the ‘new kid on the block’ he looked forward to becoming closely involved with the work of the charity, including improving links with the Chinese community. Disabled Living and Envirofone are running a scheme to help the environment by recycling old mobile phones. Whenever you use the service at www.disabledlivingrecycles.com , you will receive cash and help contribute to the running of costs of Disabled Living.
