'I enclose a donation to Disabled Living for whose help and advice I will always be grateful. When my husband was paralysed with spinal tumours in April 2005 I was advised by carers to go to Disabled Living for advice. I was given the best information on continence, wheelchair and ramp facilities. Sadly my husband died from his illness in August 2005. At a very difficult time when we were coming to terms with his disability and serious illness it was so important to have access to the experts at Disabled Living'.

'Having an injury which prevented me from carrying on my trade at my age made me very depressed and anxious about retraining. I have now changed careers and I just wanted to thank you for the training course which restored my confidence and put me on the right track. I went on an IT course and undertook voluntary work as advised. I wanted to share my good news; I have just obtained a Training Supervisor's post'.

'My wife and I recently spent a morning at your centre. We were guided expertly by the occupational therapist who took a great deal of trouble explaining the pros and cons of stair lifts'.

'I would like to thank Disabled Living for helping me to cope with my disability in a more positive fashion. Without them I would possibly be a lot more disabled than I am now. Because of the equipment they have helped me with I can now cope a lot better on a daily basis'
