Occupational Therapist (Training Role) – with a professional development opportunity

Salary: Agenda for Change, Band 6 – full time permanent position (part-time may be considered)

Location: Based at the Disabled Living Centre in Manchester

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist, who we will support to develop their skills to deliver a wide range of training courses. The team at Disabled Living and our wider network of trainers, will support you through training programmes to become a competent and confident trainer. Alternatively, you may already be an experienced trainer. Either way, we would be delighted to hear from you and provide you with further information about this new position.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the field of Occupational Therapy and wants to develop their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

This position will focus primarily on a training role. Working with the team you will develop and deliver training programs to support the professional development of occupational therapy staff and other professional involved in health and social care. You will work closely with our leadership team to identify training needs and develop programs that meet those needs. You will also work closely with individual therapists to provide coaching and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist and be registered with the HCPC. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent communication skills, a passion for teaching and mentoring, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Trusted Assessor Trainers

Geographical area: throughout the UK

Disabled Living is looking to expand our training team. Having recently secured several new contracts throughout the UK we are recruiting suitably qualified healthcare professionals to work on a self-employed basis and deliver training when required, within your surrounding geographical area.  The ideal candidates may already have a portfolio of clients for whom, they deliver training, they may have recently retired from NHS or local authority services, or they may be currently working in a part-time capacity. The main criteria are, you are enthusiastic and passionate about your profession, you have gained vast knowledge and experience throughout your career, and you are committed to supporting others to develop their skills and support them on their career journey.

We pay a competitive remuneration for our associate trainers and provide opportunities to work on developing projects.

Who do we want to recruit?

Moving & Handling Trainers – the colleagues we will recruit will be experienced moving and handling trainers.

Trusted Assessor Trainers – you will be an experienced Occupational Therapist who has vast knowledge of equipment. You may not have delivered training, but we will support you on your journey.
