What is AmazonSmile?

AmazonSmile allows customers to purchase products whilst donating 0.5% of the net purchase price to your charitable organisation of choice – for no extra charge to you!

How does AmazonSmile work?

When first visiting smile.amazon.co.uk, you will be asked to select a charitable organisation. Amazon will give 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT and other shipping fees) of eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the charitable organisations selected. Only purchases made through smile.amazon.co.uk are eligible to generate donations.

Is there any cost to charitable organisations or to Amazon customers?

No. There is no cost to charitable organisations or to Amazon customers. The shopping experience is identical to amazon.co.uk with the added benefit that Amazon will donate to the charitable organisations selected by customers.

How does the organisation receive my donation?

Each quarter, AmazonSmile makes donations to eligible charitable organisations by electronic funds transfer. Donations will be transferred within 28 days after the end of the following calendar quarter.

Does Amazon charge any administrative fees or take any deduction from the donation amount?

No, there is no charge to participate and no fees are deducted from the donation amount. It is completely free!

How do I get AmazonSmile?

If you already have an Amazon account, you can begin shopping instantly. All you need to do to get started is to visit smile.amazon.co.uk.

To get started, follow the steps below:

1. Log in to your Amazon account
2. Search Disabled Living in the ‘Pick your own charity’ search bar
3. Select Disabled Living
4. You should receive an email asking you to confirm this
5. Get ready to shop!

Logging onto the new AmazonSmile App

1. Open the Amazon app on your phone
2. Select the main menu (=) & tap on “AmazonSmile” within Programmes & Features
3. Select Disabled Living as your charity
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to activate AmazonSmile in the mobile app
